RC Racks structural rack with bolted structural-steel sections for heavy loads

Structural Rack

The structural rack is made of high-strength structural steel sections to carry heavier loads. It is bolted together, provides rigidity in every direction and gives direct access to every pallet.

Yes, when
  • Loads per level above those of a roll-formed rack
  • High forklift-impact environments
  • Seismic zones or seismic base plate requirements
Consider another system when
  • Light or medium loads → roll-formed Selective Rack
  • Manual picking → Picking Rack

Key benefits

  • High strength

Structural steel sections to carry heavier loads and operating impacts.

  • Rigidity in every direction

Bolted connections that give the assembly stability.

  • Direct access and stock control

Every pallet reachable; flexible loads in weight and volume.

  • Standard or seismic base plate

According to the project requirements and the zone.

Pallet rack made of structural steel sections

A type of pallet rack built from high-strength structural steel sections to carry heavier loads. They are easy to assemble, since they are bolted together to give the system rigidity in every direction, allowing direct access to every stored pallet. This makes stock control simple and gives load flexibility, both in weight and in volume.

Features

  • Holes every 101.6 mm to bolt the beams.
  • U-section uprights, welded inside to bolt the diagonals.
  • Standard or seismic base plate welded to the upright, as required.
  • Beams adjustable vertically every 50.8 mm, with an optional horizontal member for high capacity.

Capacity per level and per frame is calculated for each project and delivered in the data sheet.

Frequently asked questions

How does it differ from a roll-formed selective rack?

The structural rack uses thicker steel sections joined with bolts, which allows heavier loads and more impact resistance; the roll-formed rack is lighter and cheaper for medium loads.

What is a seismic base plate?

A reinforced base plate with anchoring designed for seismic zones or high loads, which improves frame stability.

When should I choose a structural rack?

When the load per level or the forklift traffic is above the usual, or in demanding environments: thicker steel sections and bolted connections withstand impacts better.
